Yoto Says: Journey through the diverse landscapes of Ethiopian music - from the exhilarating sounds of the kirar to the rhythmic beats of the kebero.

Ethiopia has perhaps the most leftfield musical style of all the African countries, with modal pentatonic rhythmic patterns making it totally unique. Here we present a whole host of exciting new artists coming out of the country, like Ethiocolor and Sintayehu Belay who blend traditional elements with modern production. This is coupled with songs from some of the greats from years gone by, such as the Ethio-jazz grooves of Beyene Habte and Alemayehu Eshete, known as the 'Abyssinian Elvis'.
